10月5日，中国建设银行（CCB）在香港举行推介会，计划集资76.4亿美元，预算出售264.9亿股股份。招股价每股介乎1.8至2.25港元（23至29美分），为银行2004年每股账面值的1.59至1.9倍。
外电在报道中有这样一句话：The valuation is at a discount to the country's number-five lender， Bank of Communications （BoCom）, whose shares trade at about 2.2 times book. 意思是：中国建设银行的招股价比交通银行6月份在香港上市时的价格相对要低。
这里的at a discount 即折价或低于面值的价格。例如：I bought this coat at half-price/at 50% discount. （我用半价[5折]买的这件外衣。）
