实用英语：详细计划 road map

美国总统奥巴马在周六表示，在为数十亿美元的第二批金融救市方案做详细计划时要降低抵押贷款利率，为小企业提供就业刺激贷款，促使信贷市场恢复流动，并且要严格控制那些恣意挥霍钱财的高管。
上面的报道中，road map这个说法我们并不陌生，一般都是“路线图”的意思，比如road map to the peace of the Middle East（中东和平路线图），campus road map（校园路线图）等。在这里，road map指的是a detailed plan or explanation to guide you in setting standards or determining a course of action，即“详细计划、方案”。
我们都知道map是“地图”的意思，那么我们每天看天气预报时的那个专业地图就叫做weather map（天气图）。世界那么大，而地图的篇幅又有限，所以一般能出现在地图上的地方应该都是很重要或者很有名的，所以put someone/something on the map这个短语表示的就是“使某人、某事出名”意思。例如：His impressive performance on the Spring Festival Gala really put him on the map.（他在春节晚会上的出色演出果然让他出名了。）
