Unit 9  How Was Your Weekend? 教案 2 Period 1 Teaching aims: Knowledge: simple past tense, past forms of verbs. Moral education: How to be happier when families get together. Ability: Be able to talk about recent past events Key points: What did you do over the weekend? I played tennis. We went to the beach. What did he/she/they do over the weekend? He/She/They did his/her/their homework. How was your/his/her weekend? It was great/wonderful/boring/funny. Difficult points: Past forms of verbs. Teaching methods: ask& answer, ushering, task based Teaching aids: recorder, slide show Teaching steps: Step 1. Lead in: Weekend is coming, ask the students how they usually spend their weekend. Read Section B 3a on page 29. Questions for students: What did they do over the weekend? Step 2: Learn to talk about things happened last weekend by using simple past tense. Listen to the tape Section A 1b on page 25, try to get the sentences Lucy says and complete the dialogue. (slide show) Give some examples how verbs change into past tense. Try to talk about things happened like Lucy. Using “I did……” Pair work: Ask partner about his/her weekend. Use “How was your weekend? It was…… What did you do over your weekend? I went to the beach……” Show the practice. Step 3: Learn to use “What did she do over the weekend? She cleaned the room……” Pair work: Ask partner about his/her parents: What did your father/mother do over the weekend? What did they do over the weekend?” Report: Ann’s family’s weekend. Step 4: Learn to write a passage by using the past tense. Ask students some questions like: What did you do with your parents over the weekend? What did you do together over the weekend? Class work: Ask your classmates the things he/she did with his/her parents together over the weekend. Show the practice. Report: How do families spend their weekend? Step 5: Homework: What are the happiest things when family members do together? Was it happy when you spend weekend with your parents? What do you want to do with your parents on weekends?
