麦琪: Good morning. May I help you? 早上好.有什么是吗? 艾米: Yes. There seems to be some mistakes in my pay check. I have worked for two weeks but this pay check is for only one week. 是的.我的工资支票好像有些错误.我已经干了两个星期.可这张支票支付了一个星期的`工资. 麦琪: Is it? When did you start working then? 工资周期截止日:2009年5月6日.那么你什么时候开始工作的? 艾米: On May 2nd. 是5月2日. 麦琪: When did you fill out your time sheet? 你什么时候填写考勤表的? 艾米: That`s a May 6th. 那是5月6日. 麦琪: All right. It`s clear now. Your check is correct, for one week. 好了.现在清楚了.你的支票是对的.只付了一个星期的工资. 艾米: But I have worked till May 13th. Why is that not included? 可我已经工作到5月13日.为什么不包括在内呢? 麦琪: Don`t you know we`re paid every other week? 你不知道我们是隔周发薪水的吗? 艾米: Yes, I know, but I actually have worked two weeks by the pay day. 我知道.但是到发薪日我实际上已经工作了两周了. 麦琪: That`s true, but the second week is not shown on your time sheet. And we pay only according to the hours written on the time sheep. 对啊.不过第二周在你的考勤表上没有显示.我们只按考勤表上填写的时间付工资. 艾米: So that`s why. 啊.原来是这样. 麦琪: Next Friday, when you fill out your time sheet, you`ll have two weeks on it. And on May 27th, you`ll get paid for the two weeks. 下周五.当你填写考勤表时.你的表上就有两个星期了.到5月27号.你就可以拿到这两个星期的工资了. 艾米: I see.
