And my mother, she didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning.Now, as you might imagine, I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she’d say, “This is no picnic for me either, buster.” (Laughter.)So I know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. 　　茫茫大漠，一棵树站不起来，展现出来的是一座丰碑的形象。

　　巍巍青山，千万棵树站起来，连成的是一条长城的宏伟。

　　悠悠河岸，所有的树站起来，缀成的是一条蛟龙的雄风。

　　我们象征着太多，又演绎着太多。但我相信，我的形象，绝不是“手若柔荑，肤如凝脂”的林黛玉，也绝不是“蓬头垢面、衣衫褴褛”的现代“苏乞儿”。我们象征着希望、朝气。所以我们展现在别人面前的就应该是衣无褶、脸无垢、礼貌谦和的举手投足间散发着一股英气，朝气和活力的现代新青年的形象，一个融入了大自然的精灵的化身。

　　有人曾说，生命有一种硬度，气节和尊严是撑起生命硬度的骨骼。“宁为玉碎，不为瓦全”、“仰不愧于天，俯不怍于地”，这是历来中国的传统美德。李白的“安能摧眉折腰事权贵，使我不得开心颜”这一大气凛然的诗句又是否会让那些毫无自尊的人汗颜?丧失了自尊的人是一个没出息的人，而我们作为时代的先锋，要是永远在黑暗中沉溺呢，还是要做一个顶天立地的好男儿，一朵绽放在风雨中的铿锵玫瑰。答案，不言而喻。

　　大漠再荒凉也有丰碑的矗立，青山再孤高，也有长城的环绕，河水再平静，也有蛟龙的横卧。而时代再怎么变，我们的形象，我们的雄风依然如故。因为我们自尊，因为我们自信，因为我们有着鲜活的生命。而正因如此，河岸才悠悠，大漠才广袤，青山才长青，生命的硬度才长存。

　　As a polite student,we shouldn't talk at class.If we have questions,we should put up our hands.We also shouldn’t speak loudly during the break.And I think it’s impolite to be late for class.When someone is in trouble ,we shouldn’t laugh at them.We should often say "please","thank you".

　　If everyone is polite to others,the world will be more and more beautiful.

　　礼貌在我们的国家是一个很好的传统。没有人喜欢一个人是不礼貌的。对我们来说重要的是礼貌。我们应该礼貌的学生。

　　作为一个礼貌的学生,我们不应该在课堂上讲话。如果我们有问题,我们应该把我们的手。我们也不应该在课间休息时大声说话。我认为上课迟到是不礼貌的。当有人遇到麻烦时,我们不该嘲笑他们。我们应该经常说“请”,“谢谢”。
