　　Good morning! I’m Longxue Song, a student from Lixian Primary School. I am very glad to stand here and give you a short speech .Today my topic is “Love our hometown, Bijie.” I hope you can like.

　　See me, you maybe say: “Oh, you are a short boy!” Yes, because I am only fifteen years old. At this moment, I only want to tell you: I love my hometown very much.

　　My hometown located in the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. It’s the started place of the West Development. In ancient times, it’s famous for its Yelang civilization and Shuixi culture. Since carry out the policy of the West Development, Our hometown has made a great development, especially in the field of industry and tourism.

　　There are many nice places here .They are “Baili Dujuan”, it’s a sea of flowers when they are blooming in the Spring. “Zhijing Dong”, it is regarded as "Karst Museum" by the Travelers around the world. “Caohai” that has a reputation of “the Pearl of the Plateau”. They all attract large number of travelers from home and abroad every year.

　　As a student, what should I do?

　　From the time I can understand something, my Chinese teacher always told us: Young Pioneers should protect the environment, and love our hometown. From that time on, I often tried to do something that is valuable to the environment in the school or out of the school. For example: I have never run on the grassland. I have never picked the flowers or even have never thrown the small papers everywhere.

　　In recent years, people always destroy the environment. They do not protect the environment. So the air is not clean as before. Lots of people have been ill.

　　How to make our hometown more beautiful, I do not know anything more. But I believe that if everyone shares a little piece of their love with each other, the world will become a wonderful paradise. So I believe you. I believe you must do it. You can do it. You will do it. And you will succeed.

　　As everyone knows, English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world.

　　But for myself, I learn English not only because of its importance, but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I speak English, I can feel the confidence from my words.
