几篇学生春游读后感

对大部分选修中文课的美国学生来说，用中文来写读后感依旧很艰难。即使是中文三班的学生作文，也需要妈妈反复的帮忙与修改。于是，除了中文方面的课程实践，这一次，索性让学生用英文表达春游感想。对妈妈来说，批改英文作文，也是一种学习与借鉴。第一篇作文出自七年级中学女生之手。很喜欢这名学生长久以来的认真学习态度。代文莎二０一一年三月三日 Period ５ Mandarin Field Trip: Sacramento Chinese Railroad Museum Reflection The field trip to the Railroad Museum was a really historical trip. Chinese immigrants had come to the United States because the Gold Rush that had been heard from over the seas. Men of families had come over the seas to seek more fortune to live a better life for their families. Because of the laws that were passed by the United States that the numbers of immigrants that could come over per year were really small that many families couldn’t reunite as soon as they had been expecting to. The men who came to the U.S. were working on the gold mines, and the Transcontinental Railroad. While we were in the museum, we also took a tour inside model trains. There were many things that I didn’t think would be done on the trains. The insides of the trains were really beautiful, also the China. I was surprised about how perfectly made the China and silverware was made when I walked through the dining cart of the train we were allowed to take a tour to. The insides of the train are very much like the modern trains now. I think the museum wanted to tell the spectators walking through the train that the railroads were really trustful that they were able to stand the harsh weathers. What I wanted to know was if the trains themselves were decorated by the Chinese workers. The Chinese were really trusted workers for the railroad. All were admired by the other workers for their hard work and perseverance. I didn’t really get to see all the facts about the work in the Sierra Mountains, so my reflection about the history of this couldn’t be as accurate as any text book. In the work of the Sierra Mountains, it was mostly the Chinese workers who were the ones making the tunnels, and continuing building the railroads. Many had died on the railroad because of the some accidents with the explosions while making the tunnels. I’m not so sure if they had been working in the dangerous weathers. One of the things that I learned in the museum was that not all of the Chinese immigrants were working on the railroad. There was also that have settle in cities and create their own provinces all over the country. Chinese also worked as fishermen, and merchants. It seems that their food had made a big influence on the foods of Americans that it still remains one of the most recent foods we eat today. 第二篇作文来自高中二年级学生。绝对的.美女！ Valeria Candido 宋繁利 Reflection on Mandarin Fieldtrip The mandarin field trip to the Railroad Museum in Sacramento and Buffet in San Pablo was a great yummy experience and very educational for me personally, because I learned a lot about all these different types of people and all these different cultures. I learned about all the people who collaborated with the building of the railroad. And also how many Chinese didn’t come to America with their families, some came only alone just until they would settle and they waited to have enough money for their family’s trip to America. What I learned was that Chinese workers joined the building of the railroad soon after the construction began in Sacramento 1863. They helped carry the last rail into place at Promontory Utah May of 1869. After they finished with the railroad many of the workers returned to China with their families others settled in places like San Francisco, others moved to large construction projects in the west. But many stayed in the central pacific railroad. I also learned that the Chinese not only suffered with home sickness but many times the Americans would treat them terrible. Sometimes they would burn down their homes and they would do many horrible things to them! They were treated unfairly. What I liked the most about the museum was the wax figures. They seemed to be so real and it was funny. I loved their expressions. I also thought it was really cool inside the actual train everything seemed really nice and I loved the little beds too. I think the best part was when we were walking all around Sacramento and we were going inside all those shops. Like the candy stores (candy land) and when we went inside that shop that had a bunch of little play items. Also the FOOD was great. I’ve been wondering what the dumpling had inside, they were pretty good. But Ms. Li do you know what they had inside? I also ate this chicken it was also very yummy it had like barbeque sauce but I didn’t know the name of it. Ms. Li this trip was great! I’m going to miss you when you move. I think that you are the only teacher that is willing to take all of her students to a trip! Thanks Ms. Li you are amazing for taking all of your mandarin students to the fieldtrip. I Had So Much Fun (: I You Ms. Li Sincerely, 宋繁利第三篇作文，我自己很喜欢。共享。 Last Chinese Fieldtrip On the 1st of March 2011, we took a trip to Old Town Sacramento. We visited the Old Sacramento Railroad Museum. It didn’t make sense at first, like why are we going to a railroad museum? But it made sense once we got there. The first thing you will see after walking in is a display of this small and old train. We went through the side of the museum but the old train display was visible. When I said that it made sense once we got there, it was when we took the first turn in the museum. The first turn took us to a hall. This hall was for the Chinese Immigrant workers. The Chinese Immigrant workers hall showed a big train and a cave. The train was the displayed in front of a cave. Models of workers were displayed around the train. These workers were Chinese immigrants who worked in the Central Pacific Railroad. These Chinese immigrants were hired and worked to build the railroad. I learned that the Chinese migrated from China during the late 1880s. They came to the United States to flee poverty, oppression and war. The Chinese moved from China and most of them, if not all, went to the USA. They came and stayed in the West Coast. At first the Chinese were welcomed, but after a while Americans started to bully them. Americans felt jealous and were out of work. And because of that, Americans, immigrants themselves, started to become prejudice to Chinese Immigrants. They started to pass laws to limit how much Chinese can come to the US and also to deport Chinese immigrants. After the Chinese Immigrant Hall, the rest of the field trip was about other trains. There were big trains displayed in this wide open room. There were railroad cars that we were able to go into. I like the railroad car with the simulator. It felt like the train was actually moving. When we were done looking at the trains, we went out of museum. We hung out at a store called ‘Candy Land’, then just walked around Old Town Sacramento. We, then, went to San Pablo for the buffet. The bus ride over to the buffet took a very long time. We got to the buffet and I ate a lot of food. The best food that I ate was this crab dish in a shell. It was delicious! Then the rest of the field trip was a blur. I think I ate too much and that was why I don’t remember much of it. Over all, it was a fun and interesting trip. Even though I have been in Old Town Sacramento Railroad Museum many times before, it wasn’t as boring as I thought it would be.
