　　for several years,paul watson,a Canadian environmentalist,and his crew have been very busy with a campaign every winter to find and stop japanese ships that hunt whales in the name of research.

　　Watson is the captain of a ship called the Steve Irwin.He and his crew work vevy hard to save endangered sea creatures.

　　Many kinds of large whale were grealy depleted in numbers before an official order to stop commercial shaling was made in 1986.
