My neighbour has a daughter. We are of the same age but we don~t study in the same school. In the evening we always do homework together. She is good at maths and I am good at English. So we often help each other.

不知怎么搞的，我爱上了英语，与英语结下了不解之缘。说起学英语，还有一番来历呢！
那是六年前的事了。那一天，烈日炎炎，知了在大树上叫着。妈妈和爸爸出去办事了。我独自一人在家里，因为闲着没事儿，我就打开电视机，看电视。我按到一个英语频道“CCTV-9”。看到老师的英语那么流利、动听，我不禁赞叹：“多么好的英语呀，要是我也能练成那样一口好英语，那该多好啊！”从此以后，只要一有空，我就看英语频道“CCTV-9”。虽然我不懂这些英语，但你只要用心去听，就会听出其中之美了。渐渐地，我喜欢上了英语，也懂了一些最基本的单词。爸爸妈妈见我对英语这么感兴趣，就买了一些英语卡片和英语书，鼓励我要好好学英语。这样，我对学英语的信心也就更足了。
5岁时，我上了幼儿园小班，开始学起了英语。我为我以前学过英语而感到自豪，不免有些骄傲的情绪，但我压抑住了，更加努力学习英语。过了三年，我离开了幼儿园，来到了充满生机的小学。在学校里，爸爸给我报了剑桥英语班。在班里，我学习十分刻苦。无论是严寒，还是酷暑，我每天都早起，坚持念半个小时。有时我生了病，但要是那一天有英语课，我就算发高烧，也要去上，因此，我取得了优异的'成绩，在菱湖区口语比赛中得了个人一等奖，在湖州市团体比赛中，得了三等奖，受到了老师的表扬，父母的称赞，同学的羡慕。
在众目睽睽的成绩下，我再也压抑不住那种骄傲的情绪了。听到爸爸妈妈看电视时的欢笑声，我再也受不了了，心里想：读英语太累了，要是每天不读半个小时英语，那样的话……这时，我的心美滋滋的，就忍不住钻到电视机底下去了。一连几天，我被电视的这种诱惑所吸引，所陶醉。每天半个小时的英语终于被电视所代替了，我不再用心念英语了。慢慢地，我的英语成绩急速下降，课代表这个位置，眼看就要保不住了。这时，我十万火急，只想到一个办法，那就是不看电视，去读英语。经过一个月的苦练，我的英语成绩慢慢地回升了。通过这次，我明白了一个道理：学英语就要一步一步踏实地走下去，决不能来得半点虚假，这样在你的英语之路上才会有更辉煌的时刻！
