Good morning(afternoon), ladies and gentlemen:
Today I’m going to make a speech “Morethan a competition” to you.
First, this competition is not aboutcompeting with each other. It is a good chance to make new friends.All the Children here are very kind, so we can have funtogether.
Second, this competition can practiceour English. It not only helps us be brave but also encourages usto face any challenge.
Third, this is also a stage to showourselves. When we are on the stage, we can share with others.What’s more, when we are here watching others on the stage, we canalso learn from others. This is really good for us to studywell.
The forth is the mostimportant reason. China is a big country and more and more countiesstart to know us with meeting and trade. English is theinternational language. It can be spoken in any counties. So if welearn English well, we can even join the Ministry of ForeignAffairs. With this, we will also do good things for ourhomeland.
Well, I really enjoy my time here. Forme, standing here is not just for a medal, it is for something moremeaningful. Thank you.
