　　I had a lovely pet before. It’s a dog. But it died yesterday. It was hit by a car. Yesterday, it went out to play with its friends. When it went across the road, it was hit. I am very sad about this. My dog has come to my home for two years. It was like a family of mine. Before, I played with it everyday. We had much happy time together. But now, it left me. It would never come back. I miss it very much. My parents want to buy a new one for me, but I don’t want to, because it’s not my dog any more.

　　Many people make money by hunting dolphins. If we don’t protect them, maybe we’ll lose our good friends one day.

　　The global polar bear population could decline by more than 30 percent in as little as 35 years. That's according to a new study in The Royal Society's Biology Letters.

　　Researchers looked at climate change effect on the Arctic Sea and calculated the likelihood of this projected population drop is 71 percent.

　　That's because polar bears stand on Arctic Sea ice when hunting for seals. According to NASA, even the thickest ice in the Arctic Ocean has "either thinned or melted away."
