A few days before the festival, houses are cleaned and red couplets are put up on the doors of every household. They are said to frighten away the ghosts. On that day, people are dressed up. Firecrackers ring out in the air, which adds to the atmosphere of the festival. People after a year’s hard work begin to relax and visit one another. Presents and dinners are given to celebrate the happy reunionof friends and relatives. Families get together. They have jiaozi and enjoy the New Year TV show. Customs may vary from place to place, but the same happy atmosphere is to be found everywhere in the country。

　　When I was in bed in the morning, I told grandma that I wanted to eat dumplings, and grandma cooked the dumplings in the pot, and put them in the bowl for me. I peel the zongzi skin, put sugar on the zongzi, and eat it really sweet. Dumplings are in red dates, red bean paste, my favorite bean paste. I ate several zongzi in a moment.

　　I’m glad that you will come to Beijing soon. There are many places of interest where you can experience the traditional Chinese culture in Beijing, but I’d like to take you to Nanluoguxiang.

　　First, we can take a walk along the lanes in Hutong to feel the architectural style of the old buildings like Siheyuan and local people’s way of life. Besides, you can have a talk with the residents to know more about the history about Hutong. What’s more, we can try all kinds of local foods on the way. And you can buy some paper cuttings as gifts for your friends. When we feel tired, it’s a good choice for us to go to a tea house. There, we can taste all kinds of Chinese tea and get a lot of knowledge about tea. Most importantly, we can watch Peking Opera while drinking tea, which is a typical art to reflect Beijing humanities features.

　　20xx年金秋，我来到北京的圆明园。园门早已面目全非，成为满地碎石。两只石狮遍体鳞伤，其中一只竟然被劈成两半，一半躺在地上成为“睡狮”，另一半仍坚强地站在基座上。这一只半石狮站在“大门”两侧，诉说着圆明园当年悲惨的历史......

　　走过“大门”，一段被炸毁的石墙无助地靠在两棵枯死的松树上，让我不禁想起八国联军大肆掠夺的情景:有的搬走稀世珍宝，有的毁坏搬不走的无价之宝，还有的`炮轰举世无双的建筑……

　　走过满地碎石的残垣断壁，一处干涸的池塘展现在眼前，它就是海晏堂。岸边12个大理石基座伤痕累累，上面精美绝伦而残缺的浮雕，仍能见证曾经的辉煌。这上面曾放着惟妙惟肖、闻名遐迩的12生肖铜首，此时，它们早已荡然无存，大多不知下落，流落异乡。“独在异乡为异客，每逢佳节倍思亲。”我想，这些失落的铜首，在我们欢庆祖国日益强大的时候，一定翘首以盼，渴望早日回归祖国！

　　海晏堂后，是曾经金碧辉煌的大水法。如今只剩下化为石堆的储水塔和一堆七零八落的石柱：一些被拦腰截为两段，一些被“碎尸”万段，还有一些凄惨地横倒在地，仰天长啸......我惊愕：如此坚硬的石柱，在侵略的炮火中也灰飞烟灭，可见当年那群贪婪的小鬼是多么猖狂！

　　绕过大水法，依次参观了万花阵、养雀笼......当年这里曾是神话和奇迹般的“万园之园”，如今已在两天两夜，火光冲天的洗劫下，变成一片废墟！
