　　Due Attention Should Be Given To Spelling

　　Correct spelling is a basic skill in English study. However, nowadays many students do not pay much attention to it.

　　They have their own reasons for misspelling. First of all, they like an easy way of studying, which causes some omissions and changes in spelling. Second, the teachers might not be very strict in students spelling. In China, teachers seem to be more concerned with grammar and vocabulary but not spelling.

　　To change this situation, in my opinion, the teachers and the students should work together. On one hand, the teachers should give more attention to students spelling, asking the students to be conscious of the importance of correct spelling from the very beginning of their English study. On the other hand, the students themselves are supposed to be aware that correct spelling is a must in English study.

　　To sum up, correct spelling is so important that both students and the teachers should spare no efforts to achieve correct spelling.

　　寒假的一天下午，细姨要去学校值日，就带了我一起去，刚好“铿锵英语”在那里举行寒假兴趣班活动。这时，细姨对我说：“要不要去学？”我望了望四周，一个陌生的环境，心想：不要吧，那里没有一个同学我认识呀！于是，我毫不犹豫地回答说：“我不要！”细姨鼓励我说：“去吧，试试看，挑战一下自己。”我点点头，说：“那好吧。”

　　来到教室里，那里已经有十几位同学了，我有点紧张。一会儿，上课了，一位年轻的女教师走了进来，她笑着跟我们打招呼：“大家好，以后大家就叫我MissLin吧！”MissLin很亲切，她和我们一起唱歌、玩游戏、跳舞，还教了我们几个单词：morning、aftenrnoon、evening……我们都学得津津有味。接着，MissLin教我们做动作，把四个表示时间的单词用手势表示出来，然后，MissLin让我和另一个人比赛，看谁的反应比较快。MissLin说：“noon”我做出了相应的动作，很愦憾，比对手慢了一点。我心想：“这次我一定不能输。”于是，我竖起耳朵，仔细地听一下单词。接着老师又分别念出“morning、aftenrnoon、evening”等单词，我立刻做出相应的动作，这几次就比对手快了一些，我终于赢了。MissLin奖给了我一块小贴纸，上面有一只可爱的'小松鼠，我高兴极了。最后，我还得到老师奖给我的一只小狸猫呢！

　　One day on my way to school,I ran across a traffic accident,in which a girl was seriously injured by a motorcycle.I rushed to her rescue instinctively.I lifted her in my arms and hailed a taxi,which took us quickly to a nearby hospital.

　　After emergency treatment,the girl came to.I felt at ease when I knew that she had only suffered from minor bone fractures and would recover in a couple of weeks.I left the hospital without giving my name,but my heart was full of joy and peace.Not until then did I understand the meaning of the proverb:"Helping others is the source of happiness."This may be the most unforgettable experience of my life.
