It has been more than a week since I entered junior high school. Here, I have met many teachers, among whom is our English teacher, Ms. Zhou.

Ms. Zhou is of medium build, around forty years old, with long hair 披散 (draped) over her shoulders. Her eyes are large and bright, and she always smiles at everyone. Her smile feels like a spring breeze, bringing an inexplicable warmth to our hearts. She is extremely serious in teaching, explaining even the tiniest details carefully.

When she first started teaching us English, she gave us letter classes. It took her five classes to finish teaching the uppercase and lowercase forms of the twenty-six letters. She meticulously taught us the stroke order of each letter, such as adding a small dot to the right of the lowercase "v", and writing the uppercase "H" by first drawing two vertical strokes and then a horizontal one... She explained such details thoroughly and emphasized important points to deepen our impression. English was originally a difficult subject, but after Ms. Zhous meticulous explanations, classmates felt that English was actually simple and interesting! Our interest in learning English grew stronger.

There are many English words, and we must memorize them. Regarding "memorization", she never recommends rote learning. When she taught us the letter table grouped by vowel phonemes, she told us: "Read each word in alphabetical order and categorize them into their respective groups." After categorizing words, memorizing one word reminds us of many others, making memorization much easier.

What impresses me most is when Ms. Zhou distributes homework. Since we were all new students and unfamiliar with each other, she would ask each student by seat, never complaining about the trouble. Therefore, she always came early at noon or after the afternoon classes, distributing homework one by one like a hardworking gardener plowing the land. If a student made mistakes or didnt complete homework carefully, she would criticize them, just like a gardener trimming withered branches. I was criticized once at the beginning of the term, and since then, I have been more serious about homework.

Because of her, we have grown closer to English, and our learning has reached a new height. She is my English teacher, Ms. Zhou!

In early August, we returned to the familiar campus. Everything seemed the same, with familiar faces all around, but one face we knew so well was nowhere to be found.

Later, we heard that she had an accident and was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Suddenly, everyones mood sank. Although we used to dislike her classes the most, we still cared about her deeply. She is our English teacher, Li Bi.

In the past, her dominance made classmates fear English. She ruthlessly occupied non-core courses like art and information... Classmates angrily complained that she "blocked their artistic cells". Finally, these courses "saw the light again", but the so-called "artistic cells" were no longer active.

As soon as the bell rang, she would skillfully enter the classroom to start the English class. Unless there was an urgent matter, she was never late. In my memory, she was only late by a few minutes twice, murmuring "sory! I’m sory!" repeatedly. Every class was "carefully planned" with lesson plans, and she always mastered the timing, never leaving a single minute for us to slack off. Thus, each unit ended under her meticulous guidance.

The most annoying thing was the frequent exams. As soon as a unit ended, there would be a test the next day, so dont expect review time. But after the exam, dont expect to relax either, because the next day she would enter the classroom with corrected papers and distribute them to everyone. Even if the score was unsatisfactory, she never scolded us but encouraged us: "come on!Be lieve yourself!", boosting everyones confidence.

She hasnt set foot in this familiar classroom for two months. We thought we would be happier being "liberated", but later found we couldnt part with her. We couldnt and didnt want to adapt to another English teacher. We 期盼 that art and information classes would become English again, that every morning a "national treasure" (referring to her panda-like eye bags from working hard) would teach us words, and that her face would appear in the next English class. But these thoughts can only be pinned on next semester.

I believe every student has a "selfish" thought: may she recover soon and spend the third year of junior high with us. May God bless my selfishness and wish her a speedy recovery!

My English teacher is surnamed Shen, and although he has taught me for four years, I still dont know his first name. He is also one of the few male teachers in the school. His classes are special, as he likes to tell jokes related to the lesson content during breaks.

Once, when we learned the word "pest", he told us a joke after class: "There was a pest who, after coming back from English class, wanted to show off to his companions. A man saw him and shouted: Pest! The pest replied: hi! The man went home, took a bottle of insecticide, and sprayed it on the pest. As the pest struggled, his companion asked: Whats wrong? The pest answered: I dont understand why people greet me but want to kill me? The companion asked: How did he greet you? hi, 虫!……(害虫) Then he fainted." We laughed for a long time!

Another time, when Teacher Shen told a joke during class, he accidentally used the wrong word. When classmates "kindly" reminded him, he smiled, looked unconcerned, gave us a "big white eye", and said: "My territory, my call." This made us laugh, livening up the class.

Once, a classmate was doing the English homework left by the teacher. The book wrote "sheep", but the teacher asked to add "some" before it, turning "a sheep" into "some sheep". Using the knowledge that words with "some" should add "s", the classmate added an "s" after "sheep". When the teacher saw this, he pointed to the word and said: "You cant add s after sheep because sheep cant die (s)!" We all laughed. Then, to deepen our impression, the teacher told a myth: "Legend has it that sheep were created by the devil to resist the wolves created by God, so sheep cant and wont s!" Since then, we never added "s" after "sheep".

There are many interesting stories about Teacher Shen in class, each making us laugh even now.

My English teacher is surnamed Yang, and we call him Tom. He is a wonderful yet ordinary person. Writing about him, I just want to capture his love for life, from which I have realized the true meaning of life.

Teacher Tom started teaching our class in fifth grade. In the first class, we bought a flower as a gift for our first meeting. His bright smile mirrored the blooming flower. In an instant, the whole class imprinted his image in our hearts: we all love people with bright smiles. His English classes were really interesting. He liked to relate daily expressions to the classroom. Sometimes he laughed heartily, sometimes frowned, sometimes pouted like a child as if he could hang a soy sauce bottle. You would feel that on the podium, he wasnt just a teacher but a close friend. You werent just listening to a lecture but his life. There was no need to 刻意 pursue any atmosphere in his class; as long as he was there, the happiness between his brows naturally permeated. We noticed that "Tom" and "Mary" were the most used names in his sentences. Over time, when he said "Tom and Mary", the classroom burst into laughter. We joked: "Teacher Tom, are you Tom and Mary?" He shook his head without a word, smiling as bright and warm as spring. "Tom" was born.

The autumn afternoon sun warmed the earth. After school, Teacher Tom went out to sunbathe with his two-year-old son, Ranhao. Little Ranhao walked unsteadily but happily in the sun, with Teacher Tom following behind. When we gathered around, Hao Ran shouted in his childish voice: "姐妹们 —— 好!(Hello, sisters!)" Amid our laughter, Teacher Toms face beamed with a sunny smile, and his joy moved everyone present. That touch took root in my heart, slowly blooming into a warm feeling!

Teacher Tom is just an ordinary person. He is not handsome, talented, or heroic—he just is himself. He never demands much from life or 刻意 pursues appearance, living a stable and simple life. Through him, I understand that life may not shine, but it must be fulfilling and happy. This is my English teacher, Tom.

Last summer vacation, I was fortunate to meet my extra-curricular English teacher, Mr. Zhao. He is of medium build, with a round face framed by glasses, and always wears a smile when talking to others.

Don’t be deceived by his appearance—he is actually very strict. If you don’t believe me, let me show you just how strict he can be.

During my first class with him, I listened carefully at the beginning, but soon, tempted by my deskmate, we two started whispering. At first, Mr. Zhao didn’t notice us, and we chatted so freely that we forgot everything around us. Suddenly, with a "snap", a piece of chalk hit me. "Zheng Xinrui, stand up!" My face turned red instantly. "Didn’t I say in advance that talking or getting distracted is not allowed in my class?" I nodded numbly. "What question did I just ask? Answer it." I kept my head down, silent—too busy chatting with my deskmate, I hadn’t heard a word. "Copy today’s text three times when you get home, and stay after school to come to my office. I’ll explain today’s lesson again." Oh no! Staying after school meant my mom waiting to pick me up would definitely ask why, and I’d get scolded. The teacher’s method was too effective!

Another thing not long ago showed me his strictness even more. After the first class, I was "honored" to be called to the office again. "This is your homework from yesterday. Open it and take a good look, then compare it with your previous work. See any difference?" "It’s not as careful as before." "Why is that? Don’t think you can be careless just because this isn’t school homework—it reflects your attitude toward learning. Besides, writing neatly can help you in exams and even in life. Redo this homework, and I hope to see your assignments neat and serious in the future." I lowered my head in shame, took the workbook, and slunk back to the classroom to redo the homework carefully.

This is Mr. Zhao, whom I respect and love. Though strict, I know his harshness hides love for students. I’m glad to have such a teacher!

My English teacher, Ms. Zhou, has humorous classes, and all students enjoy listening to her. But besides teaching, her daily life is also colorful!

Ms. Zhou loves cooking and can make various dishes. Every time we go on an outing, she sets up a big pot and starts cooking. After about 20 minutes, plates of fragrant delicacies are served: spicy boiled beef, tomato fried eggs, braised pork ribs... They make our mouths water. These dishes are perfect in color, aroma, and taste, attracting many teachers and students. Then Ms. Zhou would shout, "Let’s eat!" All students rush forward, each taking a bite, and soon only empty plates remain. Why is her cooking so good? It turns out that when she was young, her parents were always on business trips. In sixth grade, she lived alone and cooked three meals a day by herself. Gradually, she fell in love with cooking. Though tired, she felt indescribable happiness. She tried new recipes every day, and over time, mastered excellent cooking skills.

Besides cooking, Ms. Zhou is also a travel photography enthusiast! During vacations or free time, she packs her bags and travels across China—Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Hubei, Xinjiang... She has almost visited the whole country. Every trip, she brings a camera, capturing mountains, rivers, and local customs. Traveling isn’t just about sightseeing for her—wherever she goes, she visits the most famous local restaurants, tastes the food, takes photos, and shares the joy on her QQ space. We often ask, "Which city is the most beautiful? Which is the most fun?" She always replies, "Every city has its own beauty. That’s why the world is so colorful, isn’t it?" We suddenly understand.

This is our English teacher, Ms. Zhou. Do you like her?

My English teacher isn’t my homeroom teacher, but she never favors her own class because of that. Instead, she treats everyone equally.

She wears plain glasses, just like her straightforward personality. Though her words can be harsh sometimes, every student understands her good intentions. Her thick eyebrows are probably her most noticeable feature from a distance. She isn’t tall—almost all students are taller than her—but in our hearts, she is incredibly great. Anyway, her teaching skills are excellent.

As the English monitor, I dare not slack off in English. In every previous exam, I barely maintained the first place (to be honest, it’s tiring to put in so much effort each time, and I’m even a bit bored). But in the last final exam, I failed miserably—my score, usually around 140, dropped below 130. I was shocked and scared. When talking to the teacher a few days later, I saw disappointment in her eyes, which determined me to study harder.

Of course, I made some principled mistakes in English. A few days ago, the teacher suddenly checked homework in the morning—she rarely did this in class. Due to my carelessness, I didn’t tell her about incomplete assignments (to be honest, telling the teacher offends others, and I was afraid... but who isn’t selfish?!). I was severely criticized and assigned extra homework. I was convinced, knowing it was wrong to harm classmates. My fear of offending others was a flaw in my thinking. In the future, I should correctly shoulder the monitor’s responsibility and serve classmates sincerely—just as I said at the beginning, the teacher treats everyone equally!

This is my English teacher, who treats everyone fairly, cares for students, and truly earns my respect.

Memories of primary school haven’t been recalled yet, but in a blink, I’ve spent a year in middle school. Looking back on my junior high life, there’s a sense of melancholy, yet I still remember that teacher.

Compared to primary school, my grades hit rock bottom in middle school. For some reason, my scores dropped sharply—though middle school has rich educational resources and facilities... I still clearly remember the day I got the report card. My homeroom teacher was a math teacher, but the one who inspired me most was an English teacher I interacted with the least.

She was understanding, got along well with students, and her anger faded quickly. Once, I carelessly finished an English composition as if joking, quietly placed it on her desk, and slipped away, dreading to see her disappointed or reproachful eyes.

After a weekend, I didn’t get the composition back until Tuesday afternoon. I climbed the stairs timidly. Luckily, the teacher wasn’t there, so I walked into the classroom boldly. But when I opened the notebook, a thunderbolt struck— the back of my composition was filled with red-inked grammar mistakes and English words.

Hiding in a corner, I read the notes line by line. Those words are still engraved in my heart: "I know you’re a smart boy. If you think exams don’t matter, do you want life to be meaningless? I believe you’re smart, so cheer up!" The most important one was: "To learn well, first have an optimistic attitude. Without it, how can you study?" There was no knowledge in the notes—only advice on learning.

When I later got a good score, I realized she had inspired me. After receiving those comments, I began to change my learning initiative and creativity, finally discovering the fun of studying.

Since then, I’ve been modest in asking teachers and classmates for help instead of being arrogant, feeling a force pushing me forward. This force gave me the power to climb to the top, winning many awards.

No matter what happens in the future, I’ll keep moving forward with this unchanging motivation to achieve a better life. Though this English teacher seldom talked to me, I’ll prove her encouragement with my sweat. A thousand words can’t match these three sincere ones: "Thank you!"

My English teacher isn’t my homeroom teacher, yet she never shows favoritism to her own class. On the contrary, she treats all students equally.

Wearing simple glasses, she mirrors a straightforward personality. Though her words can be blunt at times, every student understands her good intentions. Her thick eyebrows make her most recognizable from afar. Though short—almost all students are taller—she stands tall in our hearts. Above all, her teaching is excellent.

As English monitor, I’ve always been diligent in English. In every past exam, I narrowly held the first place (frankly, it’s exhausting to strive so hard each time, and I even feel weary). But the last final exam was a setback—my score, usually around 140, plummeted below 130. Shocked and frightened, I saw disappointment in her eyes during our talk days later, spurring me to study harder.

I did make principled mistakes in English. A few days ago, the teacher suddenly checked homework in the morning—uncommon in her class. Due to my oversight, I didn’t report incomplete assignments (truthfully, tattling offends others, and I feared... but who is entirely selfless?!). I was harshly criticized and given extra work. I was convinced, knowing it wrong to shield classmates. My fear of conflict was a flaw, and I must properly assume the monitor’s responsibility to serve others—just as her equal treatment proved from the start.

This is my English teacher: fair, considerate, and truly admirable.

Ms. Ji is our English teacher—gentle and quiet, rarely losing her temper. With a delicate and pretty face, she seldom looks angry, always smiling as she steps onto the podium gracefully.

Ms. Ji dresses fashionably and beautifully. Sometimes she lets her shiny, flowing black hair fall behind her, wearing a floral dress that makes her as fresh as a lotus, enhancing her bright eyes, white teeth, and rosy lips. She also loves a dark blue casual suit, with her hair tied into a long ponytail, looking cool and handsome.

She is extremely beautiful: a fair, rosy, and delicate face with curved willow-leaf eyebrows, exuding the charm of an ancient beauty. When she frowns slightly, she resembles the delicate Lin Daiyu from ancient dramas; when she smiles, we naturally smile with her. Her mouth is perfectly shaped, and her smile is uniquely charming. Her long, shiny hair tied into a braid sways 俏皮 ly, making her look like a peerless beauty carved from jade—charming and pretty.

Of course, we respect and like Ms. Ji not only for her beauty (though it’s an important reason). We love her kindness, approachability, and her super-standard English—so cool! We all enjoy her classes, except for dictation.

Her English is truly standard. Once when learning animal words, I compared her pronunciation with a point-reading machine at home—her soft, clear voice was exactly like the machine’s, so pleasant!

She teaches carefully, enunciating every word and sentence meticulously. If we mispronounce, she repeats it with us; if we get it right, her bright eyes shine with approval. Her movements are always gentle, and she rarely looks angry, remaining charming and graceful.

Ms. Ji is skilled at teaching, often leading us in games where we happily and easily learn many English words.

This is the gentle and charming Ms. Ji. Do you like her?

My after-school English teacher, Ms. Yang, has sleek black hair always tied into a neat ponytail. She is of medium build and age, yet still full of youthful energy. Her beautiful eyes—both gentle and serious when she scans the class—lead us into the wonderful world of English. She is one of my favorite teachers, accompanying me through several years of learning English, unforgettable.

I still remember the first time I met Ms. Yang. The classroom was noisy, but when she spoke, everything around seemed to mute, and only her soft voice remained in my ears. In the first class on phonetics, as a transfer student, I struggled without a solid foundation—symbols and syllables didn’t match, and I couldn’t read words with phonetic marks. After class, Ms. Yang asked if I understood. I nodded reluctantly. At home, though tired, I reviewed the lesson, inspired by her smile. In the next class, I stood confidently to answer questions. Encouraged by her approving gaze, I determined to impress her. Repeating this, my grades improved, and I fell in love with English—and Ms. Yang.

She never scolds students. In a test on the simple present tense, many scored below 70. When explaining the paper, she carefully went through each question, asking us to copy and memorize concepts. The classroom groaned, but she just smiled. In the next test, with concepts memorized, we found questions easier—realizing she was teaching us methods! Our scores soared, and we praised her wisdom.

Once, when checking my notes, she pointed to an exercise: "Since Tim is used above, you can use he here." I suddenly understood and corrected it, amazed by her knowledge.

This is my English teacher—gentle in character and skilled in teaching, making her impossible to dislike!

This semester, I "promoted" to fifth grade, and our English teacher changed to Ms. Lu, who teaches upper grades. She teaches fifth and sixth grades every year, and in my mind, she’s the key English teacher of our school.

Ms. Lu is tall with a long face and bright, piercing eyes. She often looks serious, always with a high ponytail, speaking fluent, authentic English in a voice as clear and sweet as a lark’s song. But her personality is like spring weather—sometimes warm, sometimes cold. We never know which "weather" will come, making her unpredictable.

I remember her first class: she walked to the podium coldly, introduced herself briefly, then asked us to introduce ourselves using sentences on the blackboard. Facing such a "cold" teacher, we were so nervous that our fluent English became stammering. Right after, she handed out two test papers—third and fourth grade sentence rearrangement. "Now let’s check your basic English knowledge. Start working, and hand in when the bell rings." We immediately began writing. When she passed by me, I shivered, thinking: I’m done! With such a tough teacher, will I be called out every minute?

Two days later, Ms. Lu came to class smiling, seemingly casual, but she remembered everyone’s name and seat perfectly. She wrote on the blackboard without looking, yet called us accurately. Oh, I realized: maybe the first class was because sixth graders made her angry, or she wanted to give us a warning? I became alert and listened carefully. But my guess wasn’t entirely right: one moment she patiently taught a word’s pronunciation, opening her mouth wide for us to see; the next, she stomped her foot, startling us: "What’s going on! Can’t you pronounce it after several tries? Do it again!" We dared not make a sound.

Such a changeable teacher really keeps us on our toes. But it’s good—urging me to study hard, listen attentively, and never be careless in class. This semester, our English scores have improved significantly, and we’ve surprisingly fallen in love with English.

My English teacher, Mr. Wang, is a middle-aged man with short hair and a pair of thick glasses. His classes are always full of pressure, but I’ve learned more from him than any other teacher.

During my first class, I dared not even raise my hand. Suddenly, he called my name: "Anna, translate this paragraph." My hands trembled as I stood up, stammering every word. "Stop!" he interrupted. "If you can’t even read correctly, how can you learn grammar?" He then spent 15 minutes correcting my pronunciation, sentence by sentence. That day, I realized his strictness was not harshness, but a push to excellence.

Once, I handed in a carelessly written composition. The next day, he threw it on my desk: "Is this what you can do? Rewrite it, and add 300 words." I was furious until I saw his notes—every mistake was marked in red, with suggestions like "Use a stronger verb here". Eventually, the rewritten essay won first place in a school competition.

Now, whenever I see Mr. Wang’s serious face, I remember his words: "Perfection is not a goal, but a habit." His strictness has turned my fear of English into love.

Ms. Lee is like a walking comedy show in our classroom. With curly hair and a bright smile, she turns boring grammar into laughter.

Last week, when teaching "phrasal verbs", she acted out "wake up" by pretending to snore loudly, then suddenly jumping up with a shout. We all burst into laughter, but instantly remembered the phrase. Another time, to explain "butterflies in the stomach", she flapped her arms like a bird and made a funny face: "When I first met my husband, I had 10,000 butterflies here!" The whole class roared, and I’ve never forgotten the expression.

Ms. Lee also creates games for vocabulary. Once, she divided us into teams to guess words from her exaggerated miming. My team lost, but she gave each of us a "consolation prize"—a candy with a note: "You’re sweeter than this candy, but need to study harder!"

Her humor makes me look forward to every English class. As she always says: "Laughing is the best way to remember!"

Miss Chen was my English teacher in junior high, a young woman with long black hair and gentle eyes. She saved me from hating English.

At first, I failed every test. One day, she asked me to stay after class. Instead of scolding me, she showed me her own junior high report card—full of Cs and Ds. "I used to be just like you," she smiled. "But I found a secret: reading English stories." She lent me a copy ofHarry Potterand helped me underline difficult words.

Every week, we discussed the story together. Slowly, my vocabulary grew, and so did my confidence. In the final exam, I got an A for the first time. When I cried with joy, Miss Chen hugged me: "I knew you could do it."

Now, as an English major in college, I often think of her. She didn’t just teach me English—she showed me that every student has a hidden potential.

Mr. Brown, our foreign English teacher from Canada, is more like a friend than a teacher. With a beard and a love for casual clothes, he brings Western culture to our classroom.

During Christmas, he dressed as Santa and gave each of us a small gift—a keychain with an English word. "This is perseverance," he said, pointing to mine. "I hope you keep learning." On Halloween, he taught us to make pumpkin lanterns while practicing "spooky" vocabulary.

Outside class, he organizes a "English Corner" every Friday. We talk about movies, hobbies, even our worries. Once, I told him I was afraid to speak English aloud. The next class, he let me lead a discussion: "Anna’s idea is excellent—let’s hear her!"

Mr. Brown has taught me that language is not just words, but a bridge to understanding people. "Learn with your heart," he always says, "and the words will follow."

Mrs. Zhang, my high school English teacher, is a quiet woman who shows love through actions, not words.

I still remember the winter day I failed a crucial exam. Sitting alone in the classroom, I saw a cup of hot milk appear on my desk. Mrs. Zhang stood there, holding a red scarf: "It’s cold—don’t catch a cold." She didn’t mention the exam, but her eyes said "I believe in you".

Another time, I missed a month of classes due to illness. When I returned, she gave me a notebook—every lesson was neatly copied, with notes like "Difficult part: Page 23, Paragraph 4". I later found out she had stayed up late to prepare it.

On graduation day, she gave each student a handwritten card. Mine said: "Your voice is beautiful when reading English—never be afraid to speak up." Even now, whenever I teach English, I remember her silent care, and try to pass it on to my students.
