　　二十年后，我已经成为香港一家公司的总经理。有一次，因为公司工作需要，我回了一趟我阔别已久的故乡——乌鲁木齐。

　　Twenty years later, I have become the general manager of a company in Hong Kong. Once, because of the company's work needs, I went back to Urumqi, my long-time hometown.

　　刚出机场，我就看见蔚蓝的天空上飘着几朵白云，闻到空中和树木发出的淡淡清香，让我心旷神怡。我坐上公司派来的车，车行驶在高速公路上，公路平坦了，干净了，来来往往的车也多了。不久，车就开进市区。我发现乌鲁木齐的变化真大啊！马路变宽了，路旁种满了鲜花和绿色的植物，车辆川流不息，那干净的人行道上，人来人往；人们穿着漂亮的衣服，脸上洋溢着微笑……车开到陆军学院门楼，看到我居住了那么多年的大院也变了大样：以前的五层楼变成了十几层；路旁的草坪绿油油的，其中点缀着一个又一个的小花坛；还有喷泉，凉亭，一个紧挨一个健身器材。这时妈妈在楼门口接我。

　　Just out of the airport, I saw a few white clouds floating in the blue sky, and smelled the light fragrance of the air and trees, which made me relaxed and happy. I took the car sent by the company and drove on the highway. The road was flat and clean, and there were many cars coming and going. Soon, the car drove into the city. I find that Urumqi has changed a lot! As the road widens, flowers and green plants are planted on the side of the road, and vehicles flow ceaselessly, people come and go on the clean sidewalk; people wear beautiful clothes and smile on their faces When I drove to the gate of the army academy, I saw that the courtyard I had lived in for so many years had changed its shape: the former five story building had become more than ten; the lawn beside the road was green, dotted with small flower beds one by one; there were fountains, pavilions, and fitness equipment one by one. At this time, my mother met me at the door of the building.

　　在后来的几天，我办理公司业务时，发现乌鲁木齐的人素质有很大很大的提高，办公已经全部自动化了，效率也大大提高了，工作人员责任心也更强了；信息也相当的灵通了，已经和世界真正有了地球村的感觉。

　　我感受到唯一没有变的是新疆人的热情，善良，淳朴和浓厚的民族风味。那小花帽，羊肉串，漂亮的维吾尔族姑娘，永远都是新疆最靓丽的风景。

　　I feel that the only thing that hasn't changed is the enthusiasm, kindness, simplicity and strong national flavor of Xinjiang people. That little flower hat, mutton kebab and beautiful Uygur girl are always the most beautiful scenery in Xinjiang.

　　时间过得的真快，转眼间我又该回香港工作了。怀着依依不舍的心情，告别家乡。看到家乡乌鲁木齐的变化，我真的感到很欣慰。我会好好工作，为家乡的建设出一点力。

　　Time flies. It's time for me to work in Hong Kong again. With a reluctant mood, farewell home. I'm really glad to see the changes in my hometown of Urumqi. I will work hard and contribute to the construction of my hometown.
