Unit 3 Lesson 1: Shopping for food 英语组:王金金 Teaching contents: Words : pears, oranges, peaches, grapes, butter, potatoes chips, tofu, candy Dialoges: Let’s get some…   Good idea!   Can I have some…?   Yes, of course. Teaching aids: 1. To know the words and sentences about food. 2. To develop the students’ abilities of speaking and listening. 3. To foster the students’ abilities of communication. 4. Encorage the students to communicate with others using English in the real situation. Key points : 1. To kown the words about food. 2. To kown the dilogues about shopping. Difficult points: To kown the countable words and uncountable words. Teaching methods: Communicative approach, situational approach, Task-based method. Teaching aids: Flashcards, tape recorder, real pear, real orange, real grapes   Teaching process: Warm up: 1. Greetings 2. Free talk: T: I like eating. Do you like eating? I like ice cream. What do you like? S1: I like…   Introduction: 1.T: Today I will show you some new food. Let’s have a look. What is it? It’s a… Ss: Pear. T: Good. It’s a pear. Follow me. Ss: It’s a pear. T: But I have one two three,three pear or pears? Ss: Pears. T: Yes. Great. Follow me. ( use the same way to teach the students grapes and oranges) 2.T: I know another fruit. It’s pink and sweet. Monkeys like it. What is it? S1: It’s a peach. T: Very good. And I have one, two, three… Ss: Peaches.   Practise: 1. Students read the words one by one in groups. 2. Listen and read after the tape. 3. T: I like oranges , but I don’t like potato chips. What about you? Have some students to talk about this topic. S1: I like…I don’t like…   Introduction: 1.T: I like eating and I like shopping. Today we will shopping for food. But before the shopping, let’s put these food on the shelves. Please help me. Tell me, where is the butter? Students may point to the card. Students lead them to say : It’s over there. T: Ok. I can get it. T: Where are the peaches? Students may say : It’s over there. Teacher leads them to say: They are over there. 2. T: Now everything’s ready. Let’s go shopping. Who want to go shopping with me? Ask one student come to the blackboard. T: Now let’s make a shoping list. Teacher draws a shopping list on the blackboard and say: I like oranges. What about you? e.g: S1: I like candy. Teacher and the student sticks the cards of “candy” and “oranges”on the shopping list. T: Let’s go shopping together. Teacher says: Let’s get some oranges. Teahcer write the sentence on the blackboard. Students may answer: Yes. Lead him/her to say: Good idea. Ask another student to make the dialogue with the teacher again.   Practise: Students do pairs work.   Sum-up: Have some students to come to the blackboard to do the pairs work. Then ask one student to make dialogue with the teacher again. ① Make the shopping list. ② Dialogue: T: Let’s get some… S1:Good idea.   Let’s get some… T: Can I have some…? S: Yes, of course. (The student may just say “yes”, teahcer lead them to say “of course”) Students do the pairs work.   Homework: 1. Copy the words for three times. 2. What do you want to get ?
