记事：
Living in this fast-paced and stressful city, I sometimes feel at a loss.The indifference among people makes me feel surrounded by strangers. However, a small incident came into my life and changed my attitude towards the society.
I have a habit of buying newspapers early in the morning to keep myself informed of what is going on at home and abroad. And one morning,when I routinely headed to the newsstand,something embarrassing happened—I just forgot to bring any money with me. When I was caught in this dilemma, the lady working in the newsstand handed me the newspaper and comforted me that I could give her the money the next day.
Although this was not such a big deal, I was suddenly moved because of the smile on her face and the trust she had in astranger. It was her smile that eased my embarrassment; and above all, it was her smile that taught me a precious lesson—the trust and mutual understanding between people.
After that, mutual understanding has become my motto when communicating with others. I come to realize that it's important for us to have trust in human beings and it will make the world abetter place if we can all lend a helping hand when others are in trouble.Let's all discard the doubts and distrust we have in other people and always be ready to help.
