A cool wind rushed in. She looked out the window.
Some leaves were falling. "It must be autumn!" She murmured to herself. She stood motionless. There was no sound except that of water gurgling down the drain.

一、紧扣主题突出重点
动笔之前，针对提示的文字或图片必须先认真审题，组织内容，构思提纲，理顺思路，切忌偏题，离题，东拉西扯，不得要领，一定要避免累赘繁琐，条理不清，重点不突出的失误。
二、表达正确文字流畅
强调使用课本上学到过的单词、词组、佳句确保文章简洁通顺，切忌使用随便从文曲星或词典上找来的.冷僻单词，特别强调的是必须避免使用不规范的中文式表达，受欢迎的作文是用词用句实实在在，朴实无华，清晰流畅的文章。
三、结构规范时态无误
准确判断时态，语态的应用，不能交叉混杂，这部分则能充分反映学生的思维判断能力，分辨清楚正确的时态、语态将为作文润色不少。
四、单词、标点无误
注意单词拼写、标点符号，避免细节上的失误。错拼和自造单词均会对成绩造成不良影响。
作文成绩在高考中起着至关重要的作用。另外，高考作文要求字数为120个以上，笔者认为控制在150字左右为妥，若字数太少会给人一种考生水平低下，草草了事的感觉，而且也无法表达清楚较深层次的思想。

前两天，学校高年级举行了英语演讲比赛，我作为班上的代表之一，前去观摩。
这次比赛无论是主持还是演讲，都是全英文的。东看看，西看看，竟来了不少我认识的人。学校的几位老师来做评委，还有一位外教呢！
比赛开始。首先，是两位主持人一番简短的介绍，然后选手开始挨个儿上台。每个人都有一份课件，上面是演讲内容，选手要流畅地背出稿子，才能得高分。他们一口流利的英语，听得我云里雾里。我不由得感叹道，这就是差距啊！不过根据课件上的'英文，我还是认出了一些单词。
选手的情况也不同：有的一口英语说得头头是道，听得人一愣一愣的；有的上了台过于紧张，忘了词，又下来整理整理思绪再上台；也有的背得不错，却出了一点小插曲的……可谓是千姿百态。
选手们讲的内容各不相同：有的流畅地讲了那些经典的故事；有的介绍了自己喜欢的动物或东西；还有的讲了自己从一句话或者一件事中感悟的道理……内容各不相同。
通过这次比赛，我深切地体会到了：人外有人，天外有天。我要更加努力地学习英语哟！
