《Unit 4 Then and now》英语教案
一、 Teaching aims：
Can listen, read and write the next words：“dining hall, grass, gym, ago.”Can listen, read and understand the meaning of the sentence structure:? “ There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. Now there is a new one in our school.”Can use the sentence structure in daily life.
二、 Key point and difficult point：
Use the words and sentences which we learned today in daily life.
三、Teaching prepare：
PPT、recording of the dialogue
四.Teaching process：
Step 1. Warm up: sing an English together. Changes in me.
Step 2. Lead in:
Play a guessing game to review the words which we have learned before: library, music room, art room, computer room.
Step 3. Let’s learn:
1, Look and answer.
2. Listen the dialogue.
3. Learn the new words: dining hall, grass, gym
Step 4. Let’s chant.
Dining hall, dining hall, have a meal in the dining hall.
Grass, grass, play games on the grass.
Gym, gym, play sports in the gym.
Step 5. There be 句型
Present tense:? There is + singular nouns
There are + plural nouns
Past tense:There was + singular nouns
There were + plural nouns
Pay more attention：there 是个近视眼
就近原则：be动词单复数形式要跟there be之后的.第一个主语保持一致，如果第一个主语是单数或不可数名词用is，如果第一个主语是复数用are。过去时则用was和were。
Step 6. 表示过去的词和词组：
yesterday 昨天 the day before yesterday 前天
last month 上个月 the month before last前月
last year 去年 the year before last前年
two days ago 两天前
three days ago三天前
… days ago
four months ago四个月前
… months ago
five years ago五年前
… years ago
at that time在那时
in the old time/days 从前，过去的时候
Step 7. I can say:
1, Say some changes about our city.
2. Group work to say some changes about your school or your family.
五： Homework:
1.Read the sentences and words in page 35 five times.
2. Copy the words and sentences in page 35 three times.
3. Tell your parents about your school’s change.
