that the developed countries can offer better educational environ ment may eplain such a phenomenon. we can＇t deny that in certain fields, our country is not quite good. other countries can help us to educate better scientific researchers. some students whose major is foreign languages are eager to improve their language skills in the native speaking country where there is a better study environment.
some students are forced to he abroad by parents who think in other coumries their children can be better educated and have more opportunities there or when they come back. it seems that there are always good positions for those students when they return from foreign countries.
for the above-mentioned reasons, many students want to pursue their further studies outside their motherland.

The campus looked very large and there were so many buildings. I was very excited and curious when the first class began. I have a great number of new schoolmates who came from different parts of the country. In the library, there were so many books and several bright reading-rooms. I was determined to study hard.
I lived at the dormitory, not at home, as did in high school. The great difference, I feel, is that at college I should study all by myself.

a picnic
i got up vely early last sunday morning because my classmates and i had scheduled a picnic at the yangmingshan national park.
it was cloudy and overcast. this deeply depressed me. i almost thought of giving up the planned picnic.
fortunately,the weather turned fine at 8 a.m. i was cheered up by the sudden change. i rushed to the bus station and saw my friends were already there. they told me that they would go for a picnic "rain or shine."
we walked along a path and reached the gate of the park. we spread our blankets and put down our load, and enjoyed the splendid view from the mountains. we started to play and to sing and to read books.
after taking lunch we took the bus home. it was indeed an enjoyable trip.
