刍议高中英语泛读教学

Summary: At present in most senior middle schools, teachers don’t attach importance to extensive reading although the General Outline says, “Extensive reading must be particularly increased…” In order to improve students’ abilities and skills of reading comprehension, teachers may do as follows:
1. Take the importance of extensive reading seriously.
2. Master the definite purpose for extensive reading essentially.
3. Select the reading material properly.
4. Use effective methods for training students to read fast and comprehensively.
5. Test students’ reading scientifically.
一、 引言
在信息发达的当今世界，能否适应社会的发展，很大程度上取决于通过阅读进行交流的能力。各行各业的人们在不同的工作中都需要进行大量的阅读，以达到交际的目的。科技人员如能阅读原文的专业书籍、资料，比依赖他人翻译将会省时省力，因为现代科技信息的时间性很强，等待他人译出，往往会贻误时机。许多出国学习人员反映，听、说并不是最大困难，而阅读速度慢则是最大的困难。这种阅读能力应在中学开始培养，打好基础。 泛读训练就是提高这种书面交际能力的有效途径之一。
二、泛读教学的必要性
随着人教社SEFC教材在我地的实行，近两年多来，笔者到市属各高级中学随堂听课240多节，从统计中发现，有60%以上的教师对教科书中阅读课文的教学是从为培养学生
